Your wish is now granted. Octo is a Revit Add-In that allows you to assign multiple points to an element and thereby go beyond the built-in functionality in Revit.

Octo is similar to the built-in functionality of Revit to assign points to elements, called Room Calculation Point. However, Octo is more flexible and allows you to assign points to elements that are not supported by the built-in functionality in Revit. Octo allows you to grab elements that Revit wasn’t originally designed to grab.

Octo is for those cases when you want more control of how elements relate to each other. For example, if you have equipment which serves more than one room, then you can use Octo to assign a point to the equipment which is located inside the rooms. You can grab more rooms for one element.
Grab more together with Paralink
Octo works great with Paralink. You can use ParaLink to copy the room parameters to the equipment you just grabbed, or vice versa. This way you can easily grab the room parameters for the equipment, even though the equipment is not located anywhere near the rooms.
